It’s too poor that many people aren’t going to allow ‘Bride and Prejudice’ to stand on its believe merits. That includes most mainstream reviewers who have generally been lukewarm about it. For many people though, ‘Bride’ will be an introduction to the Bollywood Musical genre and – for that reason alone – it’s a can’t miss. Far from being lukewarm, I was in stiches throughout most of the movie.

Although the split-screen technique had been around for a decade or so, it was usually more notorious for its failures than its success, and the actor required to play dual roles usually took tall heat for their failure to earn two physically identical but distinctly different characterizations on hide. But with THE PARENT TRAP, with the difficult dual role resting on the shoulders of an extremely young star, Walt Disney struck gold. It would be the single highest grossing film the studio had released up to that time, and even some forty years later the baby-boomers who flocked to observe it in 1961 regard it as one of their celebrated movie experiences.
But THE PARENT TRAP has a lot more going for it than mere nostalgia. Even so, this was no guarantee that she could pull off the feat of double roles, something that had daunted even the legendary Bette Davis. But she did.
The account has been told so often that surely every one knows it by now. A wife delivers twin daughters–but shortly afterward divorces her husband, and each wins custody of one child. The children are raised without any knowledge of each other’s existence… until they unexpectedly bump into each other at summer camp, place two and two together, and devise a arrangement to gain their parents serve together again.

Even so, the appeal of the yarn, the cast, and most particularly Haley Mills get up for a lot, and this Disney double DVD comes complete with a host of bonuses (including a making-of documentary and an audio commentary track by director David Swift and Haley Mills) that fans will devour quite a bit.
If you were a fan of the film then, you’ll remain a fan of it now. And if you want to introduce your family to a truly charming movie experience, you couldn’t accomplish a better choice.

The Parent Trap is, by far, my approved movie. I couldn’t train you exactly how many times I’ve seen it, but it would probably be somewhere around 300 times. The Parent Trap stars Hayley Mills playing twin daughters of a divorced couple (Brian Keith and Maureen O’Hara) . The girls, who have long been separated, meet accidentally for the first time at summer camp. After discovering they are long-lost twin sisters, the two concoct an inferior blueprint to switch places in an worry to glean their parents aid together. Personally, I don’t like the fresh Parent Trap. The aged one is fair… classic. “Night at the Museum 2, The Battle of the Smithsonian” hits neither of these extremes: it has no pretensions about being a astronomical film. Certainly, the new film was better and more unique in many respects, and there is lots of continuity with the first film, as many of the characters have returned. Azaria’s Karloff-esque character is really well done. One of the best scenes in the film is when Kahmunrah and Ben Stiller’s character (Larry Daley) argue over the fate of Jedidiah (played by Owen Wilson) . I heard a rising tide of belly laughs all around me as this scene progressed: a salute to the mature time vaudeville comedic dialog routines, played to arrive perfection by two reliable actors. Laurel and Hardy would have been proud!

Kudos to the Smithsonian for the unprecedented access and serve they provided to the producers of this film. I’ve visited the Washington Mall and Smithsonian Museums many times, and it was mammoth to behold them on the enormous mask, and big fun seeing the havoc and mayhem that special effects allowed the film’s characters to inflict upon our national treasures.
I like this film because it is fair with itself and its audience, and consistently delivers laughs and smiles. Is it a big film? No. Is it humorous? Definitely. Is it a ample scheme to consume a couple of hours with your better half, or the kids? Absolutely. For that reason I’ll give it Four Stars: be pleased!
Finally, a movie all ages can indulge in. And please purchase mark, Hollywood — yes, it can be done without swearing, sex or violence. Clever dialog, vast acting and effects. We’re all waiting for it to reach out on video. We would even have taken the kids to inspect it again if the theater experience wasn’t so expensive. One of the only criticisms is that we would have liked to have seen more of Robin Williams character. Rest assured, this is one movie that won’t leave you jimmy-jacked!

Bought this DVD for our granddaughter Kiersten,a few days ago to search for when she stayed overnight by us(Grandma&Grandpa) It was a hit with her.She loves diminutive babies,so this was a perfect tape for her.As for some of the feedback on Gash Jr. about this being a terrible one for portraying the babies as dapper babies,I don’t assume those people listened.In the beginning of this episode,Dora is telling a legend to the babies.It is a epic about natty babies,but it is ONLY a legend.The second episode is also Dora telling a droll account about the babies and her family.There are two more episodes on this DVD about a baby dinosaur and another one that tells you the magic word Please(in Spanish) .We had seen all these episodes on Slit,but only once,so it was delightful to witness.
I loved it! Cartoons like this exclaim children and I noticed that they really effect attention to Dora with her stories and making the children participate. Dora really makes kids very gratified in special my granddaughter. I intend to occupy more DVDs of Dora The Explorer.

As in every film she appears in, Helen Mirren takes my breath away in Prime Suspect 5. It’s impossible to engage your eyes off her when she’s on mask, and I can view her movies endlessly and always collect unique depth in her characterizations. This entry in the series is honest as superior as 1,2,3,6 and 7 (4 was detached wonderful, but broken up into shorter stories, so for me not as impactful) . Mirren is divine, and as distinguished as I like all her performances, her embodiment of the complex, lonely and deeply ethical Tennison will always be my accepted.
Superior police detective drama–it doesn’t come by better than this!! I watched every episode of this series as it came out and recently rented the whole series and watched it from beginning to destroy. It is intelligent and mesmerizing–I never rep tired of it.

What we have here is a mere four episodes of what I believe one spacious cartoon point to. It would be nice if Sony would get a nice, broad DVD collection where you accumulate several episodes in one disk. It would also be nice if they were in order as they were broadcast. Sadly that’s not the case with this collection. You only procure four episodes from the first season, and not in order. It’s like that traditional VHS video release mentality again. You would figure a DVD can carry at least twice the amount of eps as VHS so why be stingy? There are over 70 episodes out there on season one alone. Mild that’s better than nothing I vow. Don’t inquire of any bonus features on this collection as the stamp point honest doesn’t bellow “special edition” at all. I doubt they did any smart up or remastering from the source material. I might sound like I’m dissing these DVDs, but don’t gather me nasty. I’m satisfied they are finally being released. It’s objective the blueprint they are releasing them don’t do the explain, or a DVD’s ability to store tons of protest, any justice. Maybe if enough of these salvage sold we will glance a better release later on. Until then here’s hoping they gain a DVD with episodes like The Come By Call of Cthulu, Don’t Forget the Motor City and the Sam Hain episodes.

In fact! this is one of the best dubs I ever heard since Princess Mononoke and Twilight of the Darkmaster.
